About Us

Play Date is a sensory-based playplace founded in 2025 by Emily and Joe Gray. Created with imagination, learning, and connection in mind, Play Date was inspired by Emily’s years of experience in play-based learning and designing meaningful sensory environments as the owner and operator of My Little Sunshine daycare in Sturbridge, MA.

Every detail of Play Date reflects Emily’s vision for a space where children can explore freely, engage their senses, and learn through play—brought to life by her husband, Joe, who lovingly built the interior with his own hands to turn that vision into reality.

Together with their children, the Grays are thrilled to welcome families into a space designed for little ones to play, learn, and grow—while caregivers relax, connect, and enjoy the joy of watching their children thrive.
